Superintendent Dr. Ken Oertling recently hosted his seventh annual Veterans Day Breakfast at the Professional Learning Center in Luling to honor St. Charles Parish Public Schools employees who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The annual event recognizes the dedication and sacrifice of these employees, celebrating both their military service and their continued commitment to the students and families of St. Charles Parish.

Employees Strengthen Assessment Practices in Professional Learning Communities Leader Training

St. Charles Parish Public Schools continues to strengthen Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) as part of Goal A of the district’s Long Range Strategic Action Plan, focused on ensuring every student achieves high levels of learning by mastering essential standards.

In September, approximately 350 PLC leaders, staff development coordinators, school administrators, and Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment team members participated in professional development centered on assessment design and best practices.
